About Us
The Gardening Circle, founded in 2003, is happily owned and operated by Janice Uebelhardt. Janice, who also runs The Mighty Fraser Bistro in the Fort Langley National Historic Site, embraces the shop much as the way she does her personal life, "as a growing experience.”
The roots of The Gardening Circle run deep; raised on a local dairy farm, Janice developed her greenthumb at a young age and was naturally drawn to her first business venture, award-winning Greenhill Acres.
Janice currently runs the Safeway Farm Market Store at the PNE; a test market and springboard for artisanal niche products, and has sat on commissions and committees such as Circle Farm Tours, Direct Farm Marketers, and eatlocal.org.
True to her roots, Janice is dedicated to keeping this gently grown shop the fresh, local treasure that draws customers from far-and-wide.
